No matter what kind of loss, I am sure I can speak for most, it forces one to reflect and reevaluate life.

Loss changed everything for me. Everything as I knew it has changed. It is scary. I did not choose it but I am embarking on a new chapter in my life and doing my best to consciously create the best life for Kenny and I.

Signs.
Comfort
International friendships
Peace

It has been a tough month. A month of fully diving into another level of letting go and change.

A few days ago I flew to Ottawa to secure a home for Kenny and I and to register Kenny into a school. I was not aware that Ottawa's Canadian tulip festival was happening the same week.

The tulip festival took my breath away.

Tulips were one of Brian's favorite flowers (Orchids was a close second).
The first bouquet of flowers Brian gave me was tulips.

He was sure to have tulips in our home whenever they were available. Kenny and I have kept up the tradition and have our special place for tulips in our home.

I have learned tulips are Ottawa's official flower and a symbol of international friendship and peace.

I feel the tulip festival is a sign. A sign that Brian is still with us and affirming that Kenny and I are taking the next best steps. 🙏

I am certain participating in the tulip festival each year will be another tradition for Kenny and I.

Today I feel a little lighter, a little more peace and an anticipation of the international friendships Kenny and I will make.

Believing in divine signs has helped me navigate this journey of loss. I am more open then ever to what life is saying to me.
